Chu Chi Underground Tunnels

During Vietnam war, the Tunnels of Cu Chi were used for Vietnamese soldiers to hide, live and protect everyone who stayed underneath. It was considered the city underground with complex routes including many rooms, hospitals, kitchens, storages, offices, etc. Cu Chi is currently a historic landmark that attracts not only Vietnamese but also tourists from all over the world about 20 millions per year.

 

You can visit Cu Chi by various means such as buses, motorbikes or automobiles. There are two different tunnels, one is called Ben Duoc, the other is Ben Dinh. If you want to save some bucks to go to Ben Duoc, you can take the 13 bus (Ben Thanh – Cu Chi) or 94 bus ( Cho Lon – Cu Chi), then take 79 bus (Cu Chi-Dau Tieng) and you will get there. To Ben Dinh, you can take 13 bus (Ben Thanh – Cu Chi) or 94 bus ( Cho Lon – Cu Chi) to An Suong bus station, then take 122 bus to Tan Quy bus station, then take 70 bus to Ben Dinh.  The other option is to get there by motorbike or automobile, you can see a lot of sightseeing and Cu Chi’s wildlife rescue station that you will miss if you take the bus.
